Use case
Reports you write as a sentence and never run by hand again
A report in Caterfli is a saved question — “revenue by product for last week” — that runs through an agent on a schedule. It reaches only the data that agent can already reach, keeps every past result for comparison, and exports to the formats people actually open.
In practice
Reports people schedule
- “Revenue by product for last week”
- “New customers this month, by country”
- “Orders still unshipped after three days”
- “Support tickets open for more than a week”
What keeps it safe
- ✓ Runs through the same tool registry, policy engine and audit trail as chat
- ✓ A scheduled run carries nobody’s permissions
- ✓ A report that asks for something destructive halts instead of running
- ✓ Shared result links are signed, expire, and are never indexed
How it works
From connection to answer
-
01
Write the question
A report is a prompt, not a query. The agent works out which tools to call, exactly as it would in chat.
-
02
Pick a schedule
Daily, weekly or monthly at an hour you choose — or run it on demand.
-
03
Read, export or deliver
Every result is kept. Export it to CSV, Excel or PDF, or have it delivered through a messaging channel you have connected, with a signed link to the result.

Which export formats are there?
CSV for feeding another system, streamed row by row; Excel as a real .xlsx with numbers kept numeric; and PDF for a person to read, capped at 500 rows.
How precisely does a schedule run?
Daily, weekly or monthly at the hour you choose. The scheduler checks every fifteen minutes, so a 07:00 report runs close to 07:00, and a report missed during downtime catches up once rather than running twice.
Can a report change data?
No. A report runs through the agent with the same approval gate as everything else, and a report whose prompt asks for something destructive halts and is recorded as failed.
Are old results kept?
Yes. Every run’s result is stored, so “revenue was flat” can be read next to what it said last month.
Try it on your own system
Connect one system and read the agent Caterfli writes from it. There is a demo connection too, if you would rather look before you wire anything up.
