The platform itself

The tools a language model gets confidently wrong, done properly

Every other connection attaches something you run. This one is Caterfli itself, so there is no host, no key, and nothing that can fall out of sync. Add it and the tools are there.

What you get

Built-in toolkit capabilities, under your rules

  • ✓ Today’s date and time — a model has no clock
  • ✓ Date arithmetic, and the gap between two dates
  • ✓ A calculator, instead of the model’s own arithmetic
  • ✓ A random reference code for a booking or ticket number
  • ✓ Scheduling: “every Sunday send me the sales report”, carried out on its own
  • ✓ Email: off on every agent until turned on, recipients allow-listed (empty by default), recipient count capped, approval required by default

What you need to connect it

  • Nothing to connect: no credential, no endpoint, no expiry
  • A timezone (an IANA name such as Asia/Dhaka) for what “today” means
  • For email, the recipient domains you allow

  • shift_date read
  • calculate read
  • schedule_task create
  • send_email execute Approval

The real tool names. Dates, arithmetic and references are reads; scheduling is a change to your own schedule; sending email is an action that waits for approval.

Exactly these values

{
    "to": "ops@acme.com",
    "subject": "Weekly sales report"
}

Your decision applies to these values only. If anything about the call changes, it stops for approval again.

Sending is the one thing that cannot be undone, so it needs approval by default. You can relax that on the tools page; the platform will not relax it for you.

Connect Built-in toolkit to your first agent

Connect one system and read the agent Caterfli writes from it. There is a demo connection too, if you would rather look before you wire anything up.
